UNO is an American card game that isn't only a fun way to spend a rainy day, but it also teaches fundamental rules of mathematics. It's played with a specially printed card deck. So as to play Uno, a fundamental set of principles must be followed. This article presents some of those rules. If you are a beginner playing the Uno for the first time, I recommend that you learn the basic rules of this game before getting started.
The game was originally developed in 1971 by Merle Robbins from suburbs of Cincinnati, Ohio. When his family and friends began to play more and more, he desided to spend $8,000 to have 5,000 copies of the game made. Then he started to sold these copies. He sold it from his barbershop initially, and local businesses started to sell it also. Robbins later sold the rights to UNO to a bunch of friends headed by Robert Tezak, a funeral parlor owner in Joliet, Illinois, for $50,000 and statutes of 10 cents per game. Tezak formed corporation that was engaged in UNO sells, with offices supporting his funeral parlor. The games were produced by Lewis Saltzman of Saltzman Printers in Maywood, Illinois.
The aim of the game is to be the first player to score 500 points, Achieved (usually over several rounds of play) by being the first to play all of one's own cards and scoring points for the cards still held by the other players.
Place all the Uno cards on the table in a vertical position making a deck. Leave the other cards in their usual positions. Then, bring all of the deck together and put it face down. These special cards are the basis of the deck that gamers will later use throughout the game. The rest of the cards are turned face up and this is where the first principle of Uno begins.
The five cards are placed in any order. When a player has his high and low cards, he must either draw two cards from the deck or discard a card from his hand.
Rule number 2 - on your own turn, if you're holding a"low" card and a"high" card and another player calls that card, then you must draw from the deck or discard a card from your hand. The player can choose the order to make his draw from the deck, irrespective of which player has the higher cards. If a player chooses to draw from the deck, then another player may choose to discard. Also, if a player chooses to discard, then the player must first remove one card from his hand. The rules for drawing and discarding stay the same.
Rule number three - on your own turn, once you've dealt your hand and made your draws, each player will reverse over his face-up card. This is done so that each player can see his own open matches, and so that each player can see whether or not he has"burnt", his greatest hand, or second highest, or lowest hand.
The last rule - in case there are no more wild cards left in the deck, the final card to be flipped over (in the case of a draw) will be the last card dealt to each player. That final card is called the"top card".
In general I would like to say that UNO is a perfect game to play with your friends, family or even a person you know just for 5 minutes. This game gain its popularity due to the fun and interest it brings. Playing it once you will love this game forever. So go try it!
